Growing Information

Sow in succession March-September in a cool moist position and thin early. For sweet, crisp roots water well in dry weather. (5-8 weeks maturity.)

Sowing Information

Sow liberally, but not too thickly, into finely raked, warm, moist, weed free soil at a depth of 13mm ( 1?2") in rows about 23cm (9") apart (Germination 4-7 days). Thin seedlings as necessary. Sow small batches in succession every fortnight throughout the season.

Grows best in well cultivated soil containing plenty of organic matter. Pull before roots get too large otherwise, they can be tough and unpalatable. Water well in dry weather.
