Delicious lightly steamed or stir-fried, but also lovely raw in salads or as pre-dinner dips. Harvest when the silk tassels begin to show, prior to pollination.

Growing Information

Sow under unheated glass in pots in April for planting outdoors mid-May. Can also be sown outdoors in May preferably under cloches. (14-16 weeks maturity.)

Sowing Information

Sow in a propagator on a windowsill or one seed per 50mm (2") pot in a greenhouse at approx. 18-21°C (65-70°F) using a good quality compost. Cover seed with 19mm (3⁄4") compost. Grow on, planting out when frost risk has passed 38cm (15") between plants each way.
Can also be sown direct outside when soil conditions are warm. Pick miniature cobs regularly before pollination to promote further mini cob production.
